Lifting big…and slow

Yesterday I was crippled (and still am to some extent) from the million walking lunges from the day before. The WoD initially had 20 pistols programmed, which is just crazy as it uses the exact same muscles as the walking lunge. Luckily, it was changed to wall balls, 15-minute AMRAP:

-10 power snatch (135#/95#)
-15 TTB
-20 wall balls

I loaded the barbell idiotically with two tens and a five on each side, mostly because I didn’t think I’d be able to maintain a 95# power snatch. As it turns out, I can, and I did, doing 2 + 14, and it was a very bouncy bar with that many plates. I should have just loaded 25#s. It’s a high-class problem. And it got me thinking, If I can do 30 power snatches at 95#, isn’t it time I try an Rx Isabel???
