13.4 revisited

Yesterday was another 5RM DL and I was thisclose to PRing, but I didn’t:

It wasn’t worth it really to get that fifth one. Oh well.

Finished with 13.4, infinity ladder of 7-minutes:

I got the exact same score as last time of 55, which is 12 C&J, 7 TTB.

Sucks.

Started today with the pull-up progression: 7-7-6-5-4. Did pretty well, got most of them chest to bar. I’ve been leaning back a bit more and that has helped. Finished with 7 RFT:

-7 KB swings (24kg/16kg)
-7 push-ups
-7 pull-ups
-7 thrusters (75#/55#)

15-minute cap

I saw the 49 each push-ups and pull-ups and didn’t think I’d be able to finish the WoD as prescribed, but I DID at 14:38. Bam!

Today was 3RM press to start and I was thisclose to getting a PR:

Still, was a 1RM, so cool.

Finished with 4RFT:

-6 STO (165#/110#, I push jerked)
-8 box jumps (30″/24″)
-10 pistols (24″ box step ups)

Got through this one in a breezy 6:17, going unbroken on, well, everything. A good day to be ME. 😛

Stupid Snatch

Stupid snatch is stupid. Today was 10 minutes to establish a 2RM snatch:

-45×2
-65×2
-75×2
-85×2
-95×2
-105×1
-105×1
-105×1
-105×1

So frustrating. Finished with 3 RFT:

-800m run (I rowed even Steven today because that’s what all the other cripples were doing)
-5 HPS at 65% of 1RM
-20 burpees
-3 minute rest

I got 5:10, 5:24, 5:54 at 75#.

Yesterday was 7-6-6-5-4 CTB pull-ups with ring dips as well. Then finished with 8-minute AMRAP:

-50 DU
-5 CTB pull-ups (I did regular)
-50 DU
-10/8 CTB pull-ups
-50 DU
-15/11 CTB pull-ups

I got 2 rounds, 59, just 2 away from 3 rounds. They were some of my best kipping pull-ups ever too. I think it was partially because my shoulders were pretty warm from doing the gymnastics stuff. Not bad.

Not a PR after all

What sucks is thinking you PR’d when you didn’t. Today was 5RM DL, which we hadn’t done in a while, and I thought I PR’d, but I didn’t. Dammit.

13.3 revisited…and not well

Yesterday started with practice at muscle up transitions, followed by max effort strict pull-ups, wherein I got 6, which is a post-baby PR. Finished with a re-visit of 13.3, 12-minute AMRAP:

-150 wall balls
-90 DU
-30 muscle ups

When I did this last time, I got 214. I got 218 this time. I’m disappointed. I was trying to break my Karen time, first off, and couldn’t even do that, getting 7:44. Doing the first 75 unbroken was impressive, but dumb. I red lined early, and it showed later because I couldn’t do more than about 12 in a row after that. Then, I just had nothing left at all for the double unders. Very disappointing performance.
